In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the co-president of the studio said that there is still “more story to tell” in the The Last of Us franchise.
Even though this isn’t a confirmation of The Last of Us Part 3, it sounds good and backs up what Druckmann said in 2020 when he said a story outline for a third game was already written.

Even though the story would show a little bit of what happens after The Last of Us 2, Druckmann was quick to point out that Part 3 is not currently being made, and the team is well aware that they will have to stick to the “structural and thematic themes” of Part 2.
Druckmann recently shared new concept art for the upcoming The Last of Us multiplayer game. The studio promises that the game will be a “fresh, new experience” based on its “passion for delivering incredible stories, characters, and gameplay.”
Fans of the series and people who want to play the multiplayer version can look forward to an official announcement of the game later this year.
The Last of Us Part 2 designer Vinit Agarwal, along with Naughty Dog’s lead designer Anthony Newman and creative director Joe Pettinati, are working on the multiplayer game.
Druckmann also said that by December 2022, more than 37 million copies of The Last of Us games will have been sold all over the world.
