She looks like she uses an Anemo Sword, but she also has strong healing skills and is one of the best five-star characters you can have in your party. As a support, Jean won’t usually do the most damage in your group, but she is still a strong character who can help your team in important ways. Jean is a jack of all trades. Whether it’s cleansing elements, healing, controlling crowds, or removing effects from enemies, she can do it all.
Jean was one of the characters that came with Genshin Impact when it first came out, but the game has changed a lot since then. Even so, Jean is still a very useful and important character in the game’s world. This guide has been changed to match Jean’s skills with weapons, artefacts, and strategies that are more up to date.
Jean’s Best Weapons

Most likely, Favonius Sword and Amenoma Kageuchi are the best four-star weapons for Jean. Both are easy to get — the Favonius Sword is a fairly common drop from Wishes, and the Amenoma Kageuchi can be forged — and both do the same thing.
Even though they work in slightly different ways, both swords give Jean good ATK levels and ways to increase her Energy generation. This is important for a healer like Jean, who wants to always have her Burst ready in case the health bars on your team get low.
The five-star Skyward Blade also has a secondary stat called “Energy Recharge,” which helps Jean’s Burst last longer. However, it has the extra power that comes with rarer weapons. The high Base ATK of the weapon not only increases her damage, but also how much she heals. Because of the other effects of Skyward Blade, you can leave Jean on the field after her Burst to deal her own damage.
Another five-star choice is Aquila Favonia, which is Jean’s signature sword. Many players like how the other weapons above bring out Jean’s supportive style, but if you want Jean to be more active and aggressive, this is the sword for you.
Because of the Physical DMG Bonus it gives, Jean’s Normal Attacks suddenly hit much harder, and the weapon’s high Base ATK keeps her healing output steady as well. When Jean’s healing ability is combined with Aquila Favonia’s passive, she is almost unkillable in battle.

If you look at these sets of helpful Artifacts, you might think that Jean also wants Artifacts with helpful and defensive stats. However, this is not the case. Remember that Jean’s healing is based on her ATK, and the healing power of her kit is so high that she can focus on her offensive stats and still be a good healer for your team.
So, you should look for ATK% Sands, Anemo DMG Bonus Goblets, and Crit Rate Circlets most of the time. If you’re having trouble getting enough Energy for your Burst, you can use ER Sands instead. If you already have a high Crit Rate from other sources, you can use a Crit DMG Circlet instead.
Jean wants Artifact substats that are also offensive: Crit Rate/DMG, ATK%, and ER are all good choices. Elemental Mastery is also a good thing to have, since you’ll be using Swirl a lot with Jean. When paired with Bennett for the “Sunfire” combination of their Bursts, you can even use EM’s main stats to get the most damage out of this strategy.
Four-piece Viridescent Venerer is almost always the best choice for Jean, since Elemental RES is so powerful and has the ability to shred enemies. That said, if your team doesn’t use Elemental Reactions at all (like Jean, Xiao, Zhongli, or Albedo), Viridescent Venerer’s effect is basically useless, and you’d be better off using Noblesse Oblige on Jean to increase your carry’s damage. Ocean-Hued Clam is a weird Artifact set you can use to boost Jean’s damage when she’s alone, but it’s usually not the best choice here.
If you bought Aquila Favonia for Jean and really want to make her a Physical DMG powerhouse, you might want to run two pieces of Pale Flame with two pieces of Bloodstained Chivalry. This build takes the focus off of Jean’s healing, Skill, and Burst, but if you want to try out-damaging your friends with a “healer,” it can be a lot of fun. Plus, even with this unusual build, Jean’s base healing should be enough to make you pretty tough.
Jean’s Talents And Constellations
In Genshin Impact, it takes a huge amount of resources to level up a character’s Talents, especially at higher levels. If you haven’t been saving materials for a long time, you’ll probably have to decide which skills to level up first.
Jean can level up both her Skill and her Burst, and most of the time it’s fine to put her Normal Attacks on the back burner. Her Skill scales better and does most of the damage she does, but her Burst is strong on its own and does most of Jean’s healing. How you use Jean will help you decide what your needs are and how to level up Jean’s talents.
As a five-star character, it’s not easy to get Jean’s Constellations. She is, however, on the Standard Wish Banner, which makes it easier than usual to get her Constellations. Most people think that Jean’s Constellations are the best of the default five-star characters, and there are a few in particular that you should try to get if you want to focus on the respected Dandelion Knight.
Her C1 is great, and it is a direct improvement on her main skill. C2 can be used in small ways to boost the ATK SPD of teammates like Yoimiya, while Jean’s C4 can be used in rare situations to directly boost Anemo DPS characters like Xiao. Keep in mind that Jean’s Constellations aren’t really needed to play her well, but you won’t be disappointed if you get some during your Wishes.
